After years of yoga practice and working as a life coach, I have come to understand that the emotions are vital body-mind-spirit sensory equipment. Just as your five physical senses serve to navigate your body, emotions help you to explore your life. Your emotions are guides, leading you toward feeling inner peace amidst the challenges life brings.
Think of emotions as the Senses of the Soul, serving your spirit to flourish. Skillfully navigating the sometimes dark, yet rich world of feelings brings freedom from early trauma, unresolved issues, confusion, anxiety and frustration. With awareness, shifts occur and you can gain control over what you are feeling. You learn what you need to be happy. You can start right now to build your relationship to your emotions
Calm your mind with meditation. When you are quiet and clear, focus on your emotional sensations. You will discover that difficult feelings ease up when you allow them to just “be.” Other feelings will have clear messages for you when you talk to them. This process may be done alone or I can guide you through it by way of individual coaching – in person or over the phone – or participating in a tele-course or workshop. Knowing that emotions are your guides, you can understand and use them in order to live a more fulfilled life.
