Love and Reverence
The Gifts of Grief.
Moving on from Grief requires letting go and accepting that change is a part of life.
In spiritual terms, the lesson is to surrender to what we often call the “Will of God.” Only from a larger view—that is, the Soul’s perspective—can we trust the process and know that we will always have what we need, that things are replaceable, and that love is everywhere, not just in the one person we loved or who loved us. This insight shifts our empowerment from outside us (helpless victim of irreplaceable loss) to within (responsible for and accessible to infinite gifts). We go from being dependent on fleeting things “out there” to having control of and constant access to our source of well-being, independent of material objects. At the highest level of this realization, we become the master of our own well-being. Even loss of our own life is no longer a threat. We accept not only change but also the very flow of the Universe
as it is.
You know that loss and change will visit you. How you receive it makes all the difference. Your Soul has a set of Senses—your emotions—that can bring you either closer to or farther from your Self. Some simple intention on your part to consciously follow the lead of your emotions will bring you through every loss into Love and Reverence for all things past or present, and to enjoy them all as eternal.
